Sabina - Dance Instructor
A brief biography...I trained in music (jazz piano) at the Royal
Welsh College of Music & Drama, and as part of my studies went on an exchange trip to Havana,
Cuba, to study Cuban music. It was there that I discovered my love for dancing Cuban Salsa. I'd previously tried dancing
American Salsa styles, but the Salsa that I saw the Cubans dancing seemed more exciting -
it had a different energy to it. It made me desperate to learn how to do it! So I spent as much time as I could
while in Cuba training in dance and continued on arriving back in the UK. Before long people
were asking me to teach and perform with them.
I believe that everyone can improve their dancing with practice, and am a patient and encouraging teacher.
I draw upon four years' experience teaching music, and also on my Master's degree in Psychology
of Education, from which I understand how to help people learn a motor skill (e.g. dance!)
and develop confidence on the dancefloor.
